Overview
I designed the brand "Kindling Coffee Co." as an experiment in brand identity development and packaging. I created the logo with multiple variations and lockups for diverse displays, and mocked up some labels on glass bottles. I went with an outdoorsy, rustic theme for the brand, and the logo with hand-drawn elements of a matchstick and flame, as well as flavor specific illustrations.
I took a lot of inspiration from "cabin" visuals and the PNW outdoorsy culture, and gave the design a traditional wood-burnt texture to the line-work. I wanted the brand to appeal to that classic "granola" hiker, maybe making a pit stop at PCC to pick up an organic beverage before heading off on a roadtrip to car-camp with friends. Old-timey copy and a highly limited assortment of healthy ingredients make this label stand out.
The brand has been designed to live on cold brew bottles, web, merch, and signage of all sizes, with scalable vector graphics.
