Zumiez
Digital Illustrations
I was tasked with creating illustrations for a brand-new music series project for the Zumiez app and social media, to increase customer engagement with the app, maintain customer retention, and support the Zumiez cross-platform ecosystem.
I drew these sketchy little illustrations that match Zumiez's edgy adolescent skater audience. The background and type treatments were inspired by Spotify's trendy "Daylist", and each playlist needed a simple illustration for the cover. Every drawing had a unique inspiration, with several rounds of concepts. I practiced using concept matrixes for quick idea generation.
The posts gathered a lot of attention, and the sketchy art style served the purpose of a fun activity to engage the Zumiez customer base.
